WATERBURY, Conn. (AP) _ Two Conn. churches are giving away money.
Each Sunday in November, members of First Congregational Church in New Milford and South Congregational United Church of Christ in Waterbury are selected by random drawing to receive a crisp, bill during worship service.
There is one string attached. The money must be given to some worthy charity, cause or person. Those who receive the are asked to return the following week to tell the congregation whom they gave the money to, and why. Similar events have been held at other churches.
One pastor says some participants usually have made up in their minds how to share even before they enter the drawings.
