Samaritan’s Purse brought in the helicopter from Texas. The group’s vice president, Ken Isaacs, says it has a list of dozens of facilities that have communicated desperate needs. Isaacs has been on the ground in Haiti for about a week and says the devastation breaks his heart. He says hundreds of thousands face desperate situations without sufficient water, food and sanitary facilities.
Samaritan’s Purse is a nondenominational evangelical Christian organization that provides international relief. It’s headed by Franklin Graham.
