St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church in Tilden celebrated its anniversary Sunday.
People walked to church, many of them dressed in Civil War-era costumes to help recreate the mood. Bishop William Callahan of the La Crosse Diocese followed in a buggy.
Father William Felix told WEAU-TV that serving 22 years as pastor has allowed him to see some of the infants he baptized grow up and prepare for marriage.
